  • WOW WOW WOW! We're probably one of the few growers in North America to have had the privilege of working with this one. Finest from Kulpa. Grew really well for us. Purple red with purple eye zone above a yellow green throat, petals edged with yellow white shark's teeth. Easily fertile both ways. We took it to dark and heavily toothy flowers in hope of increasing sizes, bud counts and depth of colour. Semi-evergreen. 15 buds. Main pix from the hybridizer. Others from us.

  • Grew really well but didn't get a chance to bloom for us this summer. Here again, we have to wait until 2026 to be allowed to resell it. It goes at $300 US on Floyd Cove's site. • Need a great tool in your pink array of flowers with dormant genetics? Search no more! Even at $250 USD, Korth is still sold out. And we foresee it'll be like that for a few years, being such a high-quality hybrid. From Korth: "Mighty to Save is one of the most complete daylilies in our garden. As a garden plant, Mighty to Save has northern hardiness, good vigor, and spectacular scapes featuring 33 buds. The flowers are stunning starting with a vibrant pink color. Add in the green throat, a greenish/gold ruffled edge and good opening in a variety of weather and that is a complete flower." Dormant. 33 buds. Pix from Korth.

  • We were just clown away by this one. Bloomed just as in the pictures, flawlessly. Of course, we had to cross it to more toothy and darker colours! Korth is still out of stock so good luck trying to get one of those! From Korth: "There are many purple flowers with white teeth and while I do not have firsthand knowledge of most of them, several characteristics of Judgment Day seem to be unique. First is the clear color. The petals and sepals are rich purple with a lighter lavender watermark. The toothy edge is consistent around the petals and sepals and the tooth color is normally white but can be light gold depending on the weather. Second is the general absence of blemishes on the petals and sepals. Going back to Lydia’s Cloth genetics, the lack of blemishes is a wonderful trait making the flowers of Judgment Day consistently beautiful. Third, the flowers do not open fully until 7 – 9 am depending on the weather that day. This has two benefits – (1) later opening avoids dew, rain, and bugs that can damage flowers overnight and (2) allows the dark flowers to look good later in the day." Dormant habit. 30 buds. • We couldn't get our hands on that one in 2024 because of shipping timing issues (it is grown outside at Emmerich's place and could not be shipped with the earlier intros). But it's here now and we were blown away by the flowers! From Emmerich: "Holds up in hard rain. Stunningly beautiful. Saturated color and only rarely shows spots. Grape with gray lavender eye, gray lavender edge plus yellow ivory teeth, white midribs on half of the petal, green throat. Fertile both ways and some really beautiful offspring (...). I’ve barely scratched the surface of what it can do as a parent and grandparent since it has lived most of its life outside being testing in a couple of locations." Semi-evergreen. 15 buds. • What a stunning toothy daylily! It grew to a 5-fan plant for us this summer, even though it was stripped down to its crown to prevent rust infestation in our gardens. We're willing to part with 1! For June 2026 shipping. From Pierce: "Dive into the allure of Forbidden Bite, a stunning daylily that captivates with its rich plum purple petals adorned with striking chartreuse tentacles. The blooms, measuring an impressive 6.25 inches, showcase a cool green throat that adds a touch of intrigue to each blossom. This robust plant stands tall at 36 inches, making it a standout in any garden. With an impressive 45 buds and 8 branches, Forbidden Bite offers a spectacular display throughout its early midseason bloom, and with its reblooming ability, you can enjoy its beauty well into the season. The impressive parentage of White Crest and a select seedling promises vigor and resilience in your landscape. Add Forbidden Bite to your garden and let its enchanting colors and unique form create a visual feast that beckons admiration. Perfect for both seasoned collectors and newcomers alike, this daylily is a must-have for 2025!" Evergreen. 45 buds. Pix from Floyd Cove Nursery.

  • OH WHAT A BEAUTY!!! Opens great for us even in bad and cold weather. Most of the times, it's slightly darker than compared with Emmerich's pix. Nothing wrong with that! We're convinced it'll be nominated as the best of the best in a near future and get the Stout Medal. Mark our words... Magenta, icy lilac watermark, lilac plus ivory edge. From Emmerich: "Good opener into the low 60's (not great below that), no spotting, scapes fabulous in the GH so should be higher branching going South. Nice foliage. Magenta; icy lilac watermark; lilac plus ivory edge; green throat. This is such a lovely flower that when it first bloomed in the greenhouse I didn't believe it would be hardy in Minnesota but it is! FABULOUS PARENT FOR HARDY DAYLILIES WITH ROUND FORMS, GORGEOUS FACES, FANCY EDGES, CHALKY WATERMARKS, GOOD SCAPES AND BUDCOUNT, AND A VERY HIGH PERCENTAGE OF KEEPER FLOWERS. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR ANY HYBRIDIZER WITH THESE GOALS. ANYONE should be able to get gorgeous daylilies out of Ruler of Nations (hint: cross it with other introductions of mine with chalky watermarks as well as those by Guy Pierce if you have them - e.g. Master and Bold Ruler). As I said with All Things to All Men when it was introduced, IF YOU DON'T GET BEAUTIFUL INTRODUCTION QUALITY SEEDLNGS FROM RULER OF NATIONS YOU SHOULD PROBABLY TAKE UP A DIFFERENT HOBBY. Easily fertile for me both ways." Pix from hybridizer.

  • It did very well for us this first year, even though we stripped it way down to the crown to prevent rust in our gardens from new arrivals. Pretty much the same as in the picture from Pierce. Because we can't sell any the year those plants are introduced, we'll have 1 nice big fan available in June 2026. From Pierce: "Introducing Cheeky Cheddar, a stunning daylily for 2025 that promises to bring a burst of color to your garden! Standing at 35 inches (89 cm), this semi-evergreen tetraploid showcases captivating 6.75-inch (17 cm) blooms in a striking dark plum red. The unique orange and green ruffled edging adds a playful touch, while the vibrant green throat enhances the overall beauty, making each flower a true standout. With an early midseason bloom time and reblooming capabilities, Cheeky Cheddar will keep your garden lively throughout the growing season. Featuring 50 buds on 9 branches, this variety is sure to deliver a spectacular display of color and texture. Amazing and beautiful, Cheeky Cheddar is perfect for gardeners looking to add a unique touch to their collections. Don’t miss out on this delightful addition that’s sure to turn heads and brighten any landscape!" Semi-evergreen. 50 buds. Pix from Floyd Cove Nursery.
