From the hybridizers: "Flowers are fiery ruffled ruby red with an intense triangular green throat. Can also have a lighter watermark depending how far the applique, relief and pleats comes out. Sculpting is mainly relief but can also have pleating, variable. Completely different genetics than any of the other relief and pleats, so extremely new genetics. When outcrossed to others, kids are extraordinary. Has two doses of Tet. Rose F. Kennedy and a dose of Tet. Emerald Starburst, so expect a very green throat. Grew super well and bloomed exactly like on the main pix. Easy parent to work with. We crossed it with toothy cultivars like Mary Kathryn's Delight, Black Wolf, Battle of the Ages and Bob and Linda Giuliani. According to Gossard: "Flowers are rich black wine with a huge yellow green edge and yellow green throat. Some days, Spacecoast Vader's Saber can be near black. This is one of John's favorites. Opens very well for such a huge edge. Has excellent plant habit, branching and bud count. It makes for a grand garden plant as well as hybridizing parent." Evergreen. It grew and bloomed so well for us in 2025. What a different look. Of course, we had to cross it back to Yoga Man and anything blue! Can't wait to see the results... It bloomed and rebloomed for us in its 1st year (and this year) and we made quite a high number of crosses with that one. Flowers are creamy white with a patterned blue, violet, and maroon eye zone with matching edge and very intense green throat. Edge is patterned blue, violet and maroon. Easily fertile both ways.
