From Gossard: “Flowers are lavender-pink with a grayish-blue inner eye that radiates outward to a blue–purple eye zone and a very green throat. I converted Freedom in Flight to concentrate the blue genetics. As shown in the Heavenly Purplicious description below, this stacking of blue genes makes it a key cultivar for hybridizing blue daylilies. Wait until you see the tetraploid “Agent of Change” seedlings crossed with Freedom Isn’t Free.
