From Korth: “Telperion was the legendary white tree of Valinor in the writings of J.R.R Tolkien. With leaves of dark green and flowers of glowing silver, Telperion the tree was a glorious sight. The daylily Telperion may not shed light of its own, but the cream white flowers with gold edges tinted green are a cooling sight in the garden. Flowers open great with large edges of lacy chartreuse. We have not introduced a near white in several years but Telperion is a unique flower for us with the greenish lacy edge from Fringy in a hardy dormant plant that excels in the north. Fertile both ways, it has been a good breeder for us.” Dormant. 16 buds. Pix from Korth.
