ONLY 2 SINGLE PREVIOUSLY-BLOOMED FANS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. To be honest, we did not expect this cultivar to bloom and rebloom that well here in colder climates! Nice substance, flawless on a daily basis. According to Pierce: "Another very long cross. Many had mean sculpting but not the strong color, and the rest of the package. ALL SPICED UP sports a very wide triple edging of two tones of orange and gold. Then a super ruffled edge. Even deeper is the TRFK triple green center. From Pierce: "With this lovely blooming in your garden, every morning, rebloom after rebloom, you can say “Hello Beautiful” And… be allowed to stare. This large and brilliantly colored Rich Red daylily was the favorite in a garden visit of Jacob Henry, and his Aunt – Patsy Newton or as we all called her that day, AUNT PATSY. This is a VERY different Red with a fiery glow in the watermark area, has a ghost edging around the extra wide 4.75” Petals and then outlined in Lemon. The throat is nicely green with the flower being quite ornate with ruffles, darker veining with occasionally wings. The form is outstanding like a round Fireball with every bloom being perfect! AUNT PATSY is an absolute winner with a super scape & prolifs, blooming Extra Early, and all Season; and with some light shade makes these giant Walnut seed pods!!! There is a lot going on in BIG RED BULL, and best of all every bloom is perfection, opening perfectly!!! The color in the picture does have some purple shades in it, the RED is seen more with your own eye. A perfect daylily carrying ALL 8 of (my) required characteristics to become a Pierce introduction. A funny story. The first year she bloomed after seedling selection, a man came up to me and said he wanted to “Follow” this daylily. I said sure. With the blooms texture and all the branching, I could see why. What is especially beautiful and unique is the watermark, a watermelon/bubblegum white which repeats on the edging too. Deep dark pure purple with ruffled white edge and well-defined white watermark above green throat; fine white edge on sepals. The first summer, the only big fan we had sent not one, not two, but three scapes!!! THREEEEEE! We don't remember anything like that!
