The base color is a clean cream with a hint of pink and lemon with deeper veining of lemon chartreuse. The 2 5/8" extra wide sepals are a solid almost white. According to Holmes: "BLOODSPORT is a medium melon pink on hotter days to a more purple shades on cooler days. The toothy greenish-gold edge always shows itself in our garden. This daylily was selected on maiden bloom. I was looking for a toothy daylily in the cross with improved color over BASS GIBSON. In my opinion BLOODSPORT captured this quality.
