From Richard: "Pale pink with rose tips and yellow toothy edge. Another intro from Heavenly New Frontiers. Happy colors that light up the late garden. Fertile both ways. The name comes from an old European folklore tradition where beekeepers would inform their hives of major life events, like births, marriages, or deaths, believing that failing to do so would bring bad luck, causing the bees to leave or die. If someone died, the hive would be draped in black cloth, and the bees would be told the news, sometimes with a solemn knock or song, to keep them from mourning excessively or absconding. It's a practice rooted in the belief that bees are spiritual links to the otherworld and integral members of the household, requiring them to be kept "in the loop"." Semi-evergreen. 17 buds.
