  • The latest from Kulpa! Described as a rose pink bitone with a pink watermark above a yellow throat, petals and sepals are edged in yellow sharks teeth, white pink midribs on petals. Dormant. Only 10 buds but we'll use this as a stepping stone to get those awesome teeth on more floriferous cultivars. Main pix from Kulpa. Clump pix from Cecilia Warsack, amazing US grower.

  • From Howard: "Near white with a braided gold edge. Fertile both ways. I wish I knew the parentage of this one. It’s a nice size on a tall scape, with beautiful blooms that open well every time. I have been using it a lot with broken color hems to improve the plant habit and get some with better teeth than what’s currently available. I love Judy Collins’ song Both Sides Now, and the name refers to her verse about not knowing clouds at all." Semi-evergreen. 23 buds. Main pix from Richard. Other ones from us.

  • From Korth: "Rich pink with lighter pink band around large green throat. What a joy Neon Splendor is in the early season garden. When we started in daylilies over 30 years ago, pink daylilies were muddy gray or tan with pink overtones. Now we enjoy this true neon pink daylily with large size, a lighter pink watermark, and large green throat. Daylilies have come a long way. Neon Splendor has long been a favorite here for its bright color. In 2024, we had a lot of plants lined out in preparation for sales in 2025 and for several weeks in the early season, it was the star of the garden. Flowers opened well in a variety of weather conditions, held up well in the hot sun, and we had rebloom on some plants. We started hybridizing with Neon Splendor the last few years and observed some promising seedlings from it this summer. It is pod and pollen fertile and will produce seedlings in a variety of colors." Dormant. 17 buds. Pix from Korth.

  • From Korth: "Lavender petals with lavender blue eye and edge. Pinewood Miracle Worker was one of our most popular cultivars when introduced in 2024. Healer of Nations is the first (of many) introduction to come from Pinewood Miracle Worker. Healer of Nations is similar in color but has wider petals and a larger, more ruffled edge. The edge has 3 colors, going from purple to lavender to cream on the outside. As a garden plant, it is a standout. Extremely vigorous, this is the first tetraploid to be introduced from the 2020 bloom season. Obviously hardy here due to its rapid increase, it should grow well in a variety of climates. Blooms open well and the bud count is good for our northern climate. As a breeder, Healer of Nations is easily pod and pollen fertile. We had some initial success using pollen from its first bloom season, but 2024 was an eye-opener. 17 seedlings were selected for further evaluation (the most of any pod parent) with Healer of Nations as the pod parent. The seedlings were unique and beautiful with many having been noted as having excellent scapes in year one. We never saw Healer of Nations or its seedlings display any extra petal tissue. Even with Double Blessing as a parent, Healer of Nations does not seem to pass on any traits for those breeding doubles. However, if you are breeding for lavenders and blue with dormant foliage, Healer of Nations will be excellent." Dormant. 22 buds. Pix from Korth.
