  • From Korth: "Purple petals with wide blue and purple band around large green throat. Green Bandit is the first of several introductions we plan on out of our fine diploid Trash Panda. The clear colors, fine scape, and consistent blooms make it an excellent garden plant. As a hybridizing plant, Green Bandit combines genetics from several breeding lines. Trash Panda contains Arno’s Bow Tie with Emerald Starburst (Doorakian) and Kermit’s Scream (Norris). Green Ghost contains Arno’s Bow Tie plus Cosmic Kaleidoscope (Carpenter). This combination of genetics can lead to a great variety of results. The name combines the racoon theme from Trash Panda (racoons have a bandit type mask around the eyes) with Green Ghost." • From Korth: "Rich purple petals with lavender watermark, the edge is lavender and gold, the throat is green. Feast of Salvation is the product of crossing two of our best dark purples together. The result is a flower that is darker and richer than Kinsman Redeemer and with a bigger edge and watermark than Dark Jubilee. Its best quality is the rich color that is contrasted with the lighter watermark and bright gold edge. In the garden, Feast of Salvation will draw your attention with the rich color. The flowers open well and it is hardy in our zone 4 climate. Feast of Salvation is fertile both ways and we have some great looking seedlings out of it. The rich color is passed on to the seedlings but we are getting even larger edges from Feast of Salvation seedlings." Dormant. 26 buds. Pix from Korth. (Kinsman Redeemer x Dark Jubilee)

  • From Korth: "Medium purple petals with large lavender blue eyezone, the edge is ruffled and has lavender, blue and cream on the exterior, the throat is green and there are white patches on the sepals. Jonah’s Journey is the product of two of our recent and finest introductions. Pod parent Pinewood Miracle Worker provided clear color and the great lavender/blue eyezone. Pollen parent My Servant Jonah brings the fancy edge and great scape from Servant to All. The best qualities of Jonah’s Journey are the clear lavender and purple colors, large green throat, and the light-colored spots on the sepals. In the garden, Jonah’s Journey provides numerous showy flowers on tall scapes. The flowers open well and the plants have been completely hardy here. It has been a wonderful early season garden plant here. Jonah’s Journey is pod and pollen fertile. In 2022, we used Jonah’s Journey as a pod parent with great success. We may have several introductions as the resulting seedlings have been impressive with large lavender blue eyes and fancy edges." Dormant. 23 buds. Pix from Korth. • From Korth: "Light rose petals with large yellow to green throat, and large gold edge. Mary Beth’s Keepsake has been an outstanding garden plant with excellent scapes and consistently beautiful flowers. The large edge comes from our great flower – Benjamin Andrew. The pastel color provides a bright show with the large yellow to green throat glowing in the garden. While pastels are not a hybridizing focus for us, we have used Mary Beth’s Keepsake as a pod parent with good success. We will see a good crop of seedlings in 2027 and we expect some excellent pastels with large watermarks. Our friend Mary Beth Giacalone selected the flower and name. It will be a great plant in her garden and in any garden where it is planted. It has rebloomed here and is a welcome addition to the late summer garden." Dormant. 27 buds. Pix from Korth. • From Korth: "Purple with lavender watermark, edge of lavender and white, green throat. Miracle King combines one of our finest purples (Return of the King) with “blue” eyed cultivar Pinewood Miracle Worker.  The result is a wonderful purple daylily with a lavender watermark.  The best features of Miracle King are the clear colors, excellent scapes, and consistently perfect flowers.  It makes a fine garden clump and the heavily budded scapes lead to a long bloom season. As a hybridizing plant, Miracle King has excelled.  We have several future introductions out of Miracle King and others under consideration.  Features passed on are large watermarks in a variety of colors including lavender/blue, pink, and rose.  Miracle King is pod and pollen fertile and is proven as a fabulous breeder for a variety of colors. Miracle King has been one of those plants that has been a great performer from day one." Dormant, 26 buds. Pix from Korth. (Pinewood Miracle Worker x Return of the King)

  • From Korth: "Lavender petals with light lavender watermark around a green throat, the petals are edged with gold. My Redeemer Lives is a product of two of our finest purple daylilies. While it is much lighter in color, the lavender flowers are showy and the gold edge is larger than either parent. Most days the flowers display a bi-color look with the sepals being a shade lighter than the petals. While neither parent has a significant watermark, My Redeemer Lives has a large watermark that adds to the flower presentation. In the garden, My Redeemer Lives is a reliable bloomer with flowers that open well without blemishes. The scapes are sturdy with good bud count that display the flowers well. As a hybridizing plant, we have not explored My Redeemer Lives as we should have. Our expectation would be that My Redeemer Lives would be an excellent parent giving results in a variety of colors and featuring the large watermark and gold edge." Dormant. 20 buds. Pix from Korth. • From Korth: "Cream petal color with large lavender and purple eye, the edge matches the eye with lavender and purple liner, large green throat. Pinewood Still Waters is a half sibling to the 2026 introduction Cascade Falls with both cultivars sharing the pod parent.  The pollen parent Heart of the Sea provides the lavender/blue eye and the round petal form.  The improvement in Pinewood Still Waters is the clearer petal color than either parent.  The large green throat is also an improvement when compared to Heart of the Sea as the green throat accentuates the lavender/blue eye. In the garden, Pinewood Still Waters puts on a show with large flowers that open well and have clean colors.  The tall scapes are well branched and sturdy to hold up the large flowers.  When grown in a clump, multiple flowers of Pinewood Still Waters will be an attention getter. Pinewood Still Waters is pod and pollen fertile.  We have some likely introductions using Pinewood Still Waters and it passes on its clear colors to its seedlings. Dormant. 21 buds. Pix from Korth. • From Korth: "Cream petals with large purple eye and wide purple and gold edge, large green throat. Ransom from Heaven is another excellent introduction out of Lord of Life.  The pollen parent seedling combined many of our blue-eyed introductions with the result being Ransom from Heaven has more of a lavender/blue eye and edge when compared to Lord of Life. In the garden, Ransom from Heaven is an excellent performer.  The flowers have pleasing color and contrast, good substance, and sturdy scapes.  The large ruffles do not inhibit the flowers from opening – even in our cool summer weather. As a hybridizing plant, Ransom from Heaven is fertile both ways.  We have many excellent seedlings including doubles from Ransom from Heaven." Pix from Korth. Dormant. 19 buds. • From Korth: "Red Heifer is a deep red self with green throat.  The color is unique and our garden visitors have commented on the fascinating color of Red Heifer.  The dark red contains no orange or burgundy colors. In addition to the striking color, the flower size is 7 inches so the flowers are hard to miss.  The flowers are typically without blemish and open easily so each one is enjoyable in the garden. The genetics of this flower are also fascinating.  Martha Edson Norris is in the background of both parents.  While the large size and flat form from Martha Edson Norris is evident in Red Heifer, the color is not evident from either parent.  There must be some red in the background but Red Heifer takes that color to a new level.   We have successfully used Red Heifer in hybridizing and good results are expected. The name comes from the parent – Cow of Bashan.  We like to connect the names of the parent plant to the new introduction.  A red heifer is also in the Bible in Numbers 19 where a red heifer without blemish was to be sacrificed for the purification from sin.  While Red Heifer the daylily is typically without blemish, it does not need to be sacrificed, just grown and enjoyed." • From Korth: "Deep brick red with green throat, red sepals, and cream toothy edge. Stones of Fire is our second introduction from Pinewood Flambeau.  Pinewood Flambeau is a fine garden plant, but Stones of Fire exceeds it in flower size and scape height.  The tall scapes stay upright and display the deep red flowers well.  The flowers open well but need a little time in the morning to fully open – not an early morning opener.  That is fine because the flowers look good throughout the day. As a breeder, Stones of Fire is fertile both ways.  We have some excellent seedlings under evaluation in red and burgundy colors with more to bloom in 2027.  The large toothy edge is passed on to the offspring making for some fun seedlings. The name Stones of Fire is a continuation of our rock/mineral theme going way back to one of our first introductions – Upon This Rock.  We can trace the lineage of Stones of Fire back to Upon This Rock and we try to maintain the rock/mineral theme when Upon This Rock is in the background.  The name is taken from the Old Testament book of Ezekiel 28:14 where Satan is described as blessed while walking on the Stones of Fire in the garden of Eden before he rebelled against God." • From Korth: "Red with bright gold edge and light red watermark, sepals are lighter red and match the watermark, green throat. What did we expect when we crossed the dark purple Pinewood Tree of Life with pastel Hailey Annabelle? Not sure but we are pleased with this fine red daylily. The best features are the clear color and excellent scapes. It also opens well and is hardy in our zone 4 climate. In the garden, Tree of Paradise has great, sturdy scapes like its pod parent. The flowers roll back and do not hang up despite the large gold edge. With the excellent bud count, the bloom season is extended. It is rather slow growing which is fine in the garden as it does not require dividing as frequently as fast-growing plants. As a hybridizing plant, we have found Tree of Paradise to be pod and pollen fertile. We did not make use of it much the first few years as it was slow to grow but we have seen some fine seedlings last year. The name is synonymous with Tree of Life, the pod parent, and the Tree of Paradise will be found in the new heavens and new earth per Revelation 22:2." Pix from Korth. Dormant. 25 buds.
