  • From Gossard: "Flowers are light rose pink and lighter whitish pink watermark and green throat. Sepals and petals are covered in white teeth, hooks, tentacles, and fangs. Like the Giant Armadillo, which is the largest of any Armadillo, they also have the most teeth than any other terrestrial mammal. And boy do they have claws. The daylily Giant Armadillo is no different......$200 Single Fan price, Sold Out." Our pix. Blooms better, compared to the registration pix. A real stunner in the gardens!

  • From Pierce: "An early-mid season, evergreen tetraploid with dependable rebloom, it features plum-purple petals overlaid with a silver-lilac purple watermark that is highlighted by subtle dark veining, and is framed by a tightly ruffled bright white edge. A vivid green throat provides contrast and draws the eye inward, while wide white stripes on the sepals echo the petal edges. With candelabra-style branching and parentage from Norway Lights and Tet. Kaleidoscopic Intrigue, Ghostly Passions combines ethereal coloration, refined structure, and strong garden performance." Evergreen. 35 buds. Pic from Pierce.

  • ONLY 2 SINGLE FANS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. Basically, a pink with a violet rose eye and double edges of both violet and rose. The focus is in the eye zone, though, with its breaks in colour-forming designer patterns of intriguing complexity. The eye of ‘GET JIGGY’ is never the same. While the eye can be occasionally solid, it is generally broken into layers. Stamile has seen as many as 9 bands of alternating colours. The lighter bands occasionally take on metallic characteristics. Unlike most patterned eyes the complexity of the eye seems to be independent of the temperature. Dormant habit. Registered at 35-40 buds. Produces slightly less for us.

  • From Korth: "In the lore of Tolkien’s Middle Earth, there were three elven rings of power. One was called Narya – the Ring of Fire. This ring was secretly given to Gandalf the Wizard for strength in his battle against Sauron. The flower named for Gandalf’s Ring reminded me of the Ring of Fire with its deep red petal color surrounded by the bright gold edge. While a red flower with a gold edge may not seem unique, several features of this flower make it special. First, the clear and typically unblemished petal color traced back to generations of our breeding for this trait. Second, this is a late season flower – also unique for us as we typically only breed with mid season flowers to make sure we get our seed pods ripe. The gold edge is huge thanks to Harold Steen breeding. Last, the scapes are special with high bud count and lateral branches that branch into a “y” themselves giving extra flowers on each branch. Our top scape had 44 buds in 2019. The flowers open mid-morning and last well all day. While it is fertile both ways, we do not breed with late flowers much so anyone interested in hybridizing with this flower will have unique genetics." Dormant. Up to 44 buds. Pix from Korth. Dormant.
