From the hybridizers: "Spacecoast Big Frosty is an early bloomer, this gorgeous, 9 inch-plus near white daylily will begin the bloom season with a spectacular show. She has great substance. This is one monster bloom, one of the biggest I have seen in a round flower. We call this the hibiscus form. Very rare genetics from a conversion that I paid $2,000 from Larry Grace. We always called the conversion, 2K. Some reverted back, but after testing many plants via flow cytometer, I have a 100% full tetraploid conversion of My Cup Overflows. This conversion was used to get SC Big Frosty. A very important daylily to be hybridized with some of the other large forms. A very outstanding Daylily with great plant habit and bud count." Evergreen. 21 buds. Pix from hybridizers. Still going at $200 SF at SC gardens...Additional information

It bloomed and rebloomed for us in its 1st year (and this year) and we made quite a high number of crosses with that one. Flowers are creamy white with a patterned blue, violet, and maroon eye zone with matching edge and very intense green throat. Edge is patterned blue, violet and maroon. Easily fertile both ways. Semi-evergreen. 32-40 buds. Main pix from hybridizers. Other pix ours. No wonder it's the parent of the stunning Sc. Simply Smurfy, released in 2025.Additional information

From the hybridizers: "It has a huge frilly edge and thick substance with a great plant under it. Spacecoast Christmas Pearl, is a more improved version of its parent with a thick substance, a white pearlescent glow, and at 8 inches across is even larger than its parent by an inch and a half. This flower is magnificent. Not only that, but Spacecoast Christmas Pearls is an excellent parent." Evergreen. 15-18 buds. Pix from the hybridizers.Additional information
