  • From Korth: "The dominant feature in the flower is the large lavender eye that extends to the wide edge. Around the eye is a band of violet mirrored in the edge. The cream petal color is quite small but accents the other colors. In the garden, Celestial Waters is a little shorter than most of our plants making it an ideal plant for the border edge. The scapes are well budded and bloom above the foliage. We had reblooms in 2023. The foliage is dormant and hardy here in our harsh winters." Main pix from Korth. Other pix ours.

  • Deep dark pure purple with ruffled white edge and well-defined white watermark above green throat; fine white edge on sepals. So far, the only big fan we got sent not one, not two, but three scapes!!! THREEEEEE! We don't remember anything like that! We emailed Meadows to inquire about that and he said that yep, it does that on most fans. And it even passes on this trait on to its progeny. AWESOME!!! Evergreen foliage. Pix from hybridizer.

  • SORRY, SOLD OUT EXTREMELY RARE TET CONVERSION. BLOOMS FLAWLESSLY EVERY SINGLE DAY. POD AND POLLEN FERTILE. According to Douglas, about the dip form: "We knew this unusual form was going to be a special flower from it’s first bloom. Dubbed the BOSS of the garden when it first bloomed in 2010, the name BOSS HOGG stuck. Slightly ruffled coral petals with a lighter watermark that surrounds an extremely large bright green throat. Well branched and lots of buds for such a large flower. Nice thick scapes to hold them up. Producing some very nice seedlings! Diamond dusted. Fertile both ways. The waiting is list is long, so extremely limited. Better order fast!" Dormant. Winner of the Jeffcoat Hybridizer's Award in 2017, of the AHS Honorable Mention in 2018 with 83 votes and of the Award of Merit in 2021. THE STATS ARE FOR THE DIP FORM. THE TET CONVERSION IS MUCH LARGER AND TALLER. Main pix from unknown Internet sources. Other pix ours.

  • Grape with lavender eye, lavender edge with silver and ivory wire, yellow to green throat. From Emmerich: "Instant rebloom on half the fans. Beautiful clear saturated Welch's grape; lavender eye and edge plus silver and ivory wire and has white sharks unless it is cool weather; yellow to green throat. It took me 5 years to notice that although it is a good opener it can take until 9AM to open on cold mornings, and there is also a small area without color at the end of each sepal. It is easily fertile both ways and a wonderful parent for hardy flowers with saturated color, chalky eyes, fancy edges, and good scapes." Dormant. Pix from Emmerich.
