From Pierce: "This early‑mid season, semi‑evergreen tetraploid reblooms reliably and delights the garden with its soft orange self color, deeply sculpted with pleats and extensive ribbing across the petals, sepals, and throat. The throat itself is a crisp green, while the petals are softly ruffled for added texture, and the plant is graced with a gentle fragrance. With parentage from a select seedling and the cultivar Satin Facets, Pleated Madness brings dimensional structure, pleasing scent, and garden vigor in one charming flower." Semi-evergreen. 30 buds. From Pierce: "An early-mid season, semi-evergreen tetraploid with reliable rebloom and a delightful fragrance, it features rich purple petals accented by a large white-blue watermark that extends across the flower and onto the sepals, leading into an elongated green throat. The bloom is elegantly edged in white, enhancing its refined patterning and contrast. With parentage from Pistachio Moon, Tet. Kaleidoscopic Intrigue, and Big Blue Lake, Pansy Moon combines striking color, intricate markings, and vigorous garden performance." Semi-evergreen. 26 buds. Pix from Pierce.Additional information

From Pierce: "An early-mid season, evergreen tetraploid with dependable rebloom, it features plum-purple petals overlaid with a silver-lilac purple watermark that is highlighted by subtle dark veining, and is framed by a tightly ruffled bright white edge. A vivid green throat provides contrast and draws the eye inward, while wide white stripes on the sepals echo the petal edges. With candelabra-style branching and parentage from Norway Lights and Tet. Kaleidoscopic Intrigue, Ghostly Passions combines ethereal coloration, refined structure, and strong garden performance." Evergreen. 35 buds. Pic from Pierce.Additional information

From Richard: "Pale pink with rose tips and yellow toothy edge. Another intro from Heavenly New Frontiers. Happy colors that light up the late garden. Fertile both ways. The name comes from an old European folklore tradition where beekeepers would inform their hives of major life events, like births, marriages, or deaths, believing that failing to do so would bring bad luck, causing the bees to leave or die. If someone died, the hive would be draped in black cloth, and the bees would be told the news, sometimes with a solemn knock or song, to keep them from mourning excessively or absconding. It's a practice rooted in the belief that bees are spiritual links to the otherworld and integral members of the household, requiring them to be kept "in the loop"." Semi-evergreen. 17 buds. This one stunner should be introduced in 2027, according to it's divisions growth rate this summer after being lined up. It produces a unique flower where the true blue is emphasized by the contrast with the white base colour. Pretty much the same presentation on a daily basis, with very few "odd" flowers. More data later on this year. We currently have it growing in a rather shady area; we'll move it and see how it performs in full sun. Maybe a 2027 intro, maybe a 2028. Who knows. Stay put!
