True red with ruffled yellow edge, celery green throat, and very heavy substance. Pierce said: "A MONSTER! They just keep getting bigger AND, Better! Another near Perfect daylily. Rich Dark Red coloration with a bright glow, darker veining. A light edge with Lemon saw teeth. But it’s the Ginormous Size, 4” wide petals, and deep Olive-Green throat that makes this monster an Exotic! I hesitated to use the Tet conversion simply because next to what I have already achieved, it seemed too tiny, but I had the pollen and from only 3 seeds got The Master. Yes, I have used it some more… Covered in brilliant Diamond Dusting, with thick scapes that hold the Master at attention." Semi-evergreen. Lots of proliferations. REAL BIG PRESENCE IN THE GARDEN! From Gossard: "Megatron has been a person favorite since its maiden bloom. Named for the cartoon transformer, MEGATRON. It is a huge, huge red flower. The bottom flower is my Tetra I SEE STARS which is larger than its diploid form. I have seen the petals at 3 ¼” on Megatron . Extremely good garden and show plant Registered as a large flower and not a unusual form, thus can be shown in the large class in flower shows . As a hybridizing plant is increases the size of the kids, it take round reds and makes giants. Parent of my Neon flamingo and Heavenly United We Stand. Produces very large red, purple and pink offspring with great color." Dormant. Pix from hybridizer. Blooms incredibly well for us.Additional information

ONLY 2 SINGLE FANS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. A ruffled rose-red with a light white watermark above a large bold green throat. Semi-evergreen. This is what Culver had to say about it: "In my opinion one of the finest daylilies we have offered for sale and one of the best parents we have ever used. It has produced so many select seedlings we have had a problem finding space for all of them; a great problem to have incidentally. MELANIE'S SMILE is a performing daylily exhibiting exceptional plant habit and a continuing display of clear-coloured blemish-free flowers."Additional information
